Back in March, 2009, Peper Long from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) told that current scientific evidence did not indicate any adverse health outcomes associated with exposure to cell phone radio frequency (RF) energy. At the same time, the FDA also states that large amounts of RF energy can increase body temperatures and cause tissue damage. Additionally, under the law, FDA does not review the safety of radiation-emitting consumer products such as cell phones and similar wireless devices before they can be sold, as it does with new drugs or medical devices.
